#060 08-04-81 Amend Communitiy Development Block Grant ProgramResolution #60 August 4, 1981 Member Johnson introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adop- tion: RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has executed a Cooperation Agreement with Hennepin County agreeing to participate in the Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; and WHEREAS, HUD requires timely expenditure of funds allocated under the CDBG Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has not expended funds allocated to projects in Years I through IV of the CDBG funds to maximum benefit; and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has prepared an amended CDBG Program for the purpose of expediting use of CDBG funds to maximum benefit; and WHEREAS, the Golden Valley City Council on August 4, 1981, held a public hearing to receive citizen opinion concerning the amended CDBG Program; BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, that the following amended CDBG Program is adopted and referred to the Planning Area One Citizen Advisory Committee for review: YEAR PROJECT AMOUNT V Housing Rehabilitation $ 31,910.00 Dover Hill Pedestrianway 8,000.00 Senior Center Study 16,500.00 VI Comprehensive Plan 24,500.00 Diseased Tree Removal 2,500.00 Housing Rehabilitation 18,750.00 Administration 15,000.00 VII Site Acqu i s i t i on for Low and Moderate Income Housing 356,422.16 Site Clearance 5,000.00 .OSEMA ORSEN, MAYOR ATTEST: UTY CITY CLERK Resolution #60, continued August 4, 1981 89 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Mitchell and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk. 1 1
