Member Johnson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION FIXING GENERAL WAGES AND SALARIES FOR 1982
WHEREAS, the City Council has discussed at length proposed salaries and
wages for both classified and unclassified City personnel as respects the calendar
year 1982;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley that it hereby adopts the following general wages and salary schedules
for the year 1982, said schedules to commence for work performed by the personnel
named herein effective for the pay period starting December 28, 1981.

1. The dollar amount of the City's contribution to all office, technical
and clerical employees for health and life insurance be changed from the current
$97.00 per month to $105.00 per month.
2. The amount of the City's contribution to all supervisory personnel be
changed from an amount equal to the average premium of the 5 plans to a flat
contribution of $146.72 per month.
3. That the 21/2% of the base salary for supervisors stay the same of that
which is calculated as of December 1, 1981.
4. Three days of the 12 sick days allowed per year may be used for
illness of an individual living in the employee's household.

** In addition, pursuant to Resolution No. 40, the City Manager shall not be
eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement Association, and
pursuant to Resolution No. 49, an amount equivalent to the City's PERA contribution
(51/2%) shall be added to the City Manager's salary for investment in a deferred
compensation program.

and the following voted against the same:

whereupon
said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed
by the
Mayor and
her signature attested
by the Deputy City Clerk.
