#82-024 03-16-82 Amend Community Development Block Grant Program262 Resolution 82-24 March 16, 1982 Member Mitchell introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has executed a Cooperation Agreement with Hennepin County agreeing to participate in the Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; and WHEREAS, HUD requires timely expenditure of funds allocated under the CDBG Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has not expended and does not expect to be able to utilize funds allocated to Year VI Project No. 401, Diseased Tree Removal Grants, to Year VI Project No. 703, Administration, and to Year VII Project No. 904, Site Clearance; and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has need for and would be able to utilize additional funds in Year VII, Project No. 004, Assistance to Low and Moderate Income Housing Development; and WHEREAS, for purposes of expediting use of CDBG funds to maximum benefit the City of Golden Valley has prepared an amended CDBG Program transferring funds not utilized in current projects to Year VII Project No. 004, Assistance to Low and Moderate Income Housing Development; and WHEREAS, City of Golden Valley staff on February 2, 1982 discussed the proposed amendments with Hennepin County staff and on March 9, 1982 notified Hennepin County by letter of proposed amendments; and WHEREAS, the Golden Valley City Council on March 16, 1982 held a public hearing to receive citizen opinion concerning the amended CDBG Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, that the following amendments to the city of Golden Valley Year VI and Year VII CDBG Programs are adopted and referred to the Planning Area One Citizen Advisory Committee for review: Program Application Project Year Number Number Activi VI 17 401 Diseased Tree Removal Grants VI 703 Administration VII 22 004 Assistance to Low and Moderate Income Housing Development VII 22 904 Site Clearance Amount $ 000.00 2,474.00 308,922.00 1 1 A Resolution 82-24 - Continued 1 ATTEST: +AWIUY gily—la ly, DeputyOCity Clerk March 16, 1982 osemThorayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Stockman and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk. 1 263
