#82-071 07-06-82 Grant Leave to Robert ShellumResolution 82-71 July 6, 1982 353 Member Johnson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION GRANTING LEAVE OF ABSENCE TO ROBERT SHELLUM WHEREAS, Robert Shellum, a Public Safety employee of the City of Golden Valley, has requested a leave of absence; and WHEREAS, he has worked ten years as a good and faithful employee, advancing from the position of Community Service Officer to Police Sergeant; and WHEREAS, he has received a major award from the Bush Foundation under the Bush Leadership Fellows Program for advanced study; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to cooperate with the employee and Bush Foundation in promoting such education and enrichment of experience while protecting the job rights of Robert Shellum; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council grant a eleven month leave without absence without pay, from August 1, 1982 to July 1, 1983 with the following benefits: 1. The City will continue to pay its contribution to medical insurance coverage during the leave. 2. Other than the above, during the leave of absence no fringe benefits, leave accrual or seniority shall be earned or paid.
