Member Anderson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION FOR ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF AMENDED PLAN FOR
PUD #1-B, COLONIAL ACRES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, pursuant to due
notice, has heretofore conducted a public hearing on a proposed Amendment to
Planned Unit Development Number 1-B, involving the addition of a nine stall
garage building to replace open parking spaces at Covenant Manor, a senior
citizen residential building located at 5800 St. Croix Avenue within said PUD
#1-B, covering the following described tract of land:
Parcel 1:
Lot 3, B ock 1, Bassett's Creek Plaza, Phase 3, except that part thereof embraced
within Lot 3, Block 1, Bassett's Creeek Plaza, Phase 2 and except that part
thereof embraced within Lot 6, Block 1, Hipp's Graceful Plaza Addition,
according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the
Registrar of Titles, in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota.
Parcel 2:
That part of Lot 3, Block 1, Bassett's Creek Plaza, Phase 3, embraced within Lot
3, Block 1, Bassett's Creek Plaza, Phase 2, except that part thereof embraced
within Lot 6, Block 1, Hipp's Graceful Plaza Addition, according to the plat
thereof on file and of record in the office of the Registrar of Titles, in and
for Hennepin County, Minnesota.
Parcel 3:
That part of Lot 3, Block 1, Bassett's Creek Plaza, Phase 3, embraced within Lot
6, Block 1, Hipp's Graceful Plaza Addition, according to the plat thereof on
file and of record in the office of the County Recorder, in and for Hennepin
County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, all persons present were given the opportunity to be heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley, that said above -referenced Amendment to Planned Unit Development Number
1-B be, and the same hereby is, accepted and approved, to the extent of the
general plans of development contained on the following plans submitted to the
City:
1. Landscape Plan and Site Plan dated September 25, 1979, revised June 18,
1982, prepared by Horty, Elving and Associates, Inc. and signed by
Thomas Horty.
2. Garage Site Plan, Plan, Fence Elevations and Details, Plan A, dated
April 2, 1982, prepared by Horty, Elving and Associates, Inc.
3. Garage Plans, Section and Elevation, dated April 2, 1982, prepared by
Horty, Elving and Associates, Inc.
And the City Staff is hereby directed to prepare an amended use permit
incorporating said general plans of development, which use permit shall be
returned to the City Council for final review and issuance.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Mitchell and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen, and the following
voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy
City Clerk.
