#82-111 11-16-82 Adopt Comprehensive PlanResolution 82-111 November 16, 1982 437 37 Member Johnson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act of 1976 requires that local units of government prepare comprehensive plans in accordance with Laws 1976, Chapter 127, Sections 1 to 23 and the applicable planning statute and submit the plans to the Metropolitan Council for review pursuant to Section 473.175 of the Minnesota Statute; and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley prepared an updated Comprehensive Plan in compliance with requirements of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act; and WHEREAS, the Golden Valley Planning Commission on March 9, 1981, held a public hearing on the proposed Comprehensive Plan in accordance with Section 462.355 Subdivision 2 of the Minnesota Statute; and WHEREAS, the Golden Valley Planning Commission approved the City's Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the Golden Valley City Council on June 16, 1981 authorized submission of Golden Valley's Comprehensive Plan to adjacent governmental units and affected school districts for review and comment and to the Metropolitan Council for review as required by the Metropolitan Land Planning Act of 1976 and Section 473.175 of the Minnesota Statute; and WHEREAS, adjacent governmental units and affected school districts completed review of the City of Golden Valley's Comprehensive Plan on October 29, 1982; and WHEREAS, Metropolitan Council on February 25, 1982 completed review of the City of Golden Valley's Comprehensive Plan and determined that no plan modifica- tions are required; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that the City of Golden Valley's Comprehensive Plan is hereby adopted. / //.i/11� �r� 02MM,"Merson,1 1 Tem F ATTEST: 4&L - J dy Na y, Deputy fity Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Stockman and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell and Stockman, and the following was absent: Thorsen, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor Pro Tem and her signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk.
