Member Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE YEAR IX COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
so BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE CDBG PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has executed a Cooperation Agreement
with Hennepin County agreeing to participate in the Urban Hennepin County
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has notified the City of Golden Valley that the
preliminary figure for the Year IX CDBG allocation to the City of Golden Valley,
which preliminary figure is to be used for planning purposes, is $115,109; and
WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley CDBG Program includes unexpended Year VI
funds amounting to a total of $9,014; and
WHEREAS, the Golden Valley City Council on March 15, 1983 held a public
hearing for purposes of receiving citizen comment on the proposed Golden Valley
Year IX CDBG Program and on proposed reprogramming of unexpended Year VI CDBG
funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley, that the following City of Golden Valley Year IX CDBG Program is
approved for submittal to Hennepin County for inclusion in the Urban Hennepin
County Year IX CDBG application and for referral to the Planning Area One
Citizen Advisory Committee for review and comment:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley,
that the City of Golden Valley CDBG Program is amended by transfer of $9,014 in
unexpended Year VI funds to the Year VIII Housing Rehabilitation Grant Program.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Stockman and Thorsen, and the following was absent:
Mitchell, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her
signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk.
