Member Mitchell introduced the following adoption and :Moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION REVISING GENERAL WAGES AND SALARIES FOR 1983
WHEREAS, on September 15, 1980 the Golden Valley City Council approved a
compensation Program for all non-union Employees; and
WHEREAS, the Compensation Program provides "effective with the first
payroll period in July, the City shall institute any adjustments warranted after
completing the review of the base salary computations"; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager's Office has completed a review of the base
salary computations; and
WHEREAS, adjustments are warranted in order to assure that Golden Valley
Employees are paid at a salary which is equivalent to those being paid personnel
doing similar duties in comparable municipalities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley approves the following salaries to be effective starting July 11, 1983.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the salaries of the clerical positions
which are currently part of the job evaluation study, shall, if increases are
warranted, receive such adjustments retroactive to July 11, 1983, consistent
with the remainder of the employees covered under the compensation program.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City flanager be authorized to take up
to 5 days of compensatory time prior to his termination and that he be authorized
to be on vacation status from December 3 through December 25, 1983, accumulating
all benefits with the remainder of all termination pay due to him pursuant to
the Personnel Resolution to be paid on the paycheck to be issued January 6, 1984.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that because of the reassignment of John Murphy
from the Director of Administrative Services position to the Accounting Supervisor
position, that effective with the first paycheck issued at the Accounting
Supervisor rate, John Murphy's vacation shall be recomputed based upon the rate
for the Accounting Supervisor and that all vacation accrued beyond the maximum
accrual authorized in the Personnel Resolution as well as accumulated banked
sick leave shall be paid to him.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following transfers are to be made from
the General Contingency.

Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen, and the following

passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy
City Clerk.
