83-089 - 10-04 Amend Development Block Grant ProgramResolution 83-89 October 4, 1983 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has executed a Cooperative Agreement with Hennepin County agreeing to participate in the Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; and WHEREAS, the Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council has requested that the City of Golden Valley consider reallocation of $5,000 in Year IX CDBG funds to provide day care subsidies for low and moderate income working parents; and WHEREAS, City of Golden Valley staff notified Hennepin County in writing of intent to consider an amendment to the City Year IX CDBG Program to reallocate $5,000 to human services for provision of day care subsidies to low and moderate income working parents; and WHEREAS, the Golden Valley City Council on October 4, 1983 held a public hearing to receive citizen opinion concerning the proposed amendment to the City Year IX CDBG Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, that the City of Golden Valley CDBG Program is amended by reallocation of $5,000 originally allocated to Year IX Project No. 005, Acquisition for Blight Removal, to a new Year IX Project for provision of day care subsidies to low and moderate income working parents. r Rosemaryhor�en,,._-- or ATTEST: J y Nal y, Deputy ity Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was Anderson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following thereof: Anderson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen, and the absent: Johnson, and the following voted against the same: said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed her signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk. seconded by Member voted in favor following was none, whereupon by the Mayor and
