84-043 - 05-15 - Year X Urban Hennepin County Block Grant Funds Authorizing SubmittalResolution 84-43 May 15, 1984 Member Bakken introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED PROGRAM FOR YEAR X URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING ITS SUBMITTAL WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has executed a Joint Cooperation Agreement with Hennepin County establishing participation in the Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the City has developed a proposal for the use of Urban Hennepin County CDBG funds made available to it; and WHEREAS, the proposed use of Community Development Block Grant funds by the City has been developed consistent with the Urban Hennepin County Statement of Objectives and the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; and WHEREAS, the proposed use of Community Development Block Grant funds was developed in cooperation with local citizens and the appropriate Urban Hennepin County Planning Area Citizen Advisory Committee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of Golden Valley approves the following proposed program for use of Year X Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant funds by the City and authorizes submittal of the proposal to Hennepin County for consideration for inclusion in the Year X Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant Statement of Objectives and Projected Use of Funds.
