84-084 - 08-07 - Vacating Drainage Open Sapce Walkway Easement 7400 Laurel AvenueResolution 84-84 August 7, 1984 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF DRAINAGE, OPEN SPACE AND WALKWAY EASEMENT AT 7400 LAUREL AVENUE WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in a notice duly published with respect to the subject matter hereof and has heard all interested persons, and it appearing in the interest of the public that a portion of certain perpetual easements for drainage, open space and walkway purposes (located at 7400 Laurel Avenue North in the City of Golden Valley) be vacated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that said portions of the said easements lying within the corporate limits of said City as described below, as the same are now laid out and dedicated within the said limits of the said City, be and the same now are hereby vacated: a) a portion of an easement lying within the corporate limits of said City as described below be and the same is hereby vacated: the north 20 feet of a drainage, open space and walkway easement recorded as Document No. 4429322, Hennepin County Records, described as being the north 55 feet of the south 105 feet of the following described tract of land: That part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 5, Township 117, Range 21, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at a point in the East line of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 distant 778.58 feet South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence West parallel with the North Line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 to its intersection with a line drawn parallel with and distant 250.32 feet East of the West line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 as measured along a line parallel with the North line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4; said point being the actual point of beginning of the tract to be described; thence South and parallel with the West line of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 a distance of 522.295 feet to the South line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4; thence East along the South line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 292.03 feet; thence North parallel with the West line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 a distance of 521.52 feet; thence West parallel with the North line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 a distance of 291.95 feet to point of beginning; and b) a portion of a green strip lying within the corporate limits of said City as described below be and the same is hereby vacated: the north 20 feet of a green strip created by instrument recorded as Document No. 4282673, Hennepin County Records, described as being the southerly 55 feet of the following described tract of land: Resolution 84-84 - Continued August 7, 1984 That part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 5, Township 117, Range 21, described as follows: Commencing at a point on the East line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4, distant 778.58 feet South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence West parallel with the North line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 to its intersection with a line drawn parallel with and distant 250.32 feet East of the West line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 as measured along a line parallel with the North line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4; said point being the actual point of beginning of the tract to be described; thence South and parallel with the West line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 a distance of 522.295 feet to the South line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4; thence East along the South line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 a distance of 292.03 feet; thence North parallel with the West line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 a distance of 521.52 feet; thence West parallel with the North line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 a distance of 291.95 feet to point of beginning, except the South 50 feet thereof as measured at right angles to the South line thereof of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 5, Township 117, Range 21, all according to the United States Government Survey thereof, and situate in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
