Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING SIGNATORY FOR
APPLICATION OF TRAINING REIMBURSEMENT MONEY
WHEREAS, on January 1, 1982, the State of Minnesota began collecting money
from a ten percent surcharge on all moving traffic offenses; and
WHEREAS, the penalty assessment money has been appropriated to be used as a
reimbursement to local units of government to offset the cost of providing
continuing education to police officers; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is required to designate a signatory for application
of training reimbursement money;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley, that it designates William Joynes, City Manager, as the signatory for
the necessary application forms.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, Stockman and Thompson, and the following
voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy
City Clerk.
