84-090 - 08-21 - Disignating Training Reimbursement MoneyResolution 84-90 August 17, 1984 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION DESIGNATING SIGNATORY FOR APPLICATION OF TRAINING REIMBURSEMENT MONEY WHEREAS, on January 1, 1982, the State of Minnesota began collecting money from a ten percent surcharge on all moving traffic offenses; and WHEREAS, the penalty assessment money has been appropriated to be used as a reimbursement to local units of government to offset the cost of providing continuing education to police officers; and WHEREAS, the City Council is required to designate a signatory for application of training reimbursement money; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, that it designates William Joynes, City Manager, as the signatory for the necessary application forms. ATTEST: y, DepAfty City Cler Mary E. nderson, Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, Stockman and Thompson, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk.
