f�ember Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING P1ANNER OF CONSTRUCTION
84 SI 6
WNEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the
above proposed public improvement construction and has presented such plans and
specifications to the Council for its approval ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley:
1. That all of such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. That with respect to all of the public improvements referenced above,
excepting therefrom only those noted below, the City Clerk shall prepare an
Adve rtisement for Bids for making such improvements under such approved plans
and specifications. The ad vertisement shall be published as required by statute,
shall specify the work to be done and shall state the time and place that the
bids shall be opened and considered by the City Engineer and City Clerk.
3. That there is hereby excepted fror� the force and effect of the
foregoing resolution the following public improvement(s) :
4. That as respects the following public improvement(s) :
It is hereby found and determined that the City of Golden Valley has sufficient
equipment to carry on the work necessary for said improvements. It is hereby
directed that said equipr�ent be used for said work and that the appropriate
funds shall be charged for the use of said equipment and the reasonable rental
value thereof as the cost of said work, and the City Engineer shall keep an
accurate record and account of the use and rental of said equipment and of
materi al s used and of work done and shal l i nclude i t on any and al l repo rts on
the cost of work done by day labor under the provi sions of the resolution.
Therefore, the City Engineer shall proceed under the direction of the City
��anager to carry on all work in connection with said improvement, in accordance
with the plans and specifications hereinabove approved.
5. That as respects the following public improvement(s) :
The same does not, on the same price basis, exceed twenty-five percent (25%)
of the original contract price of that certain contract entered into on

the Mayor and the City Manager are hereby authorized to change the contract of

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Thompson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnsan, Stockman and Thompson; and the following
voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the P1ayor and her signature attested by the Deputy
City Clerk.
