85-008 - 01-15 Provide Public Improvements RSL 152Resolution 85-8 January 15, 1985 Member Thompson ,introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS RSL 152 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci' as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions Minnesota, 1953,', this Council proposed to improvements within the City as stated in Paragraph 4 hereof. of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, of Chapter 398 Session Laws of construct certain proposed public the form of notice included in 2. The Engineer for the City has reported to the preliminary way that the proposed public improvements should best be made as proposed and not in connection and has given his estimated cost of the improvements a Council advising it in a are feasible and that they with some other improvements, s follows: $3,340.37. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included 'in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The C1 rk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of aid meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the NEW HOPE -GOLDEN VALLEY POST, the official newspaper of the City, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated February 7, 1985 and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated February 14, 1985. Resolution 85-8 - Continued January 15, 1985 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS RSL 152 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, February 19, 1985 at 7:30 PM at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said improvement will! be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: Estimated Cost: $3,340.37 Residential Street Lighting 152 (Four Ornamental Lights) Improvement Area: Along Scott Avenue and Regent Avenue North, more specifically described as follows: Lots 7, 8 9, Block 4 Lots 5 & 6; Block 7 Lots 8 & 9, Block 8 All in Dawn Acres First Addition. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Laws of 1969 as amended. All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights- of-way and publilc property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.' All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the street or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
