Member Bakken introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION REQUESTING VARIANCE FROH MnDOT FOR
RAILROAD CROSSING CONSTRUCTION ON GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD
WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley is proposing to reconstruct that certain
railroad grade crossing on Golden Valley Road, designated as Municipal State
Aid Street, 128-411-020;
WHEREAS, Golden Valley Road does not meet State Aid standards, because the
grade line has not been established and is deficient in cross section and
structure;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley that the Council formally requests, of the Minnesota Commissioner of
Transportation, a variance from Minnesota Rules For State Aid Operations,
Chapter 8820.9912, for the purpose of reconstructing said existing railroad
grade crossing on the Chicago Northwestern Transportation Company crossing at
Golden Valley Road.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, Stockman and Thompson; and the following
voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy
City Clerk.
