85-063 - 06-18 Approve 5 Cities Senior Transportation ProjectResolution 85-68 June 18, 1985 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY EXECUTING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FIVE CITIES SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley desires to provide certain transportation services for its Senior population; and WHEREAS, an opportunity has arisen through a cooperative effort with the cities of Brooklyn Center, Crystal, New Hope and Robbinsdale; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Golden Valley that it authorizes the execution of the Joint Powers Agreement establishing the Five Cities Senior Transportation Project; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council appoint the City Manager, Bill Joynes; and Senior Citizen Coordinator, Barbara Bailey; as its representatives to the Five Cities Senior Transportation Executive Committee. Ar4erson, Mayor ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, Stockman and Thompson; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk.
