87-105 - 10-06 Provide Public Improvements RSL 169Resolution 87-105 October 6, 1987 Member Bakken introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS RSL 169 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the City as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the City has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $231.60. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the NEW HOPE -GOLDEN VALLEY POST, the official newspaper of the City, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated October 22, 1987 and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated October 29, 1987. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form. Mary E. Resolution 87-105 - Continued October 6, 1987 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS RSL 169 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Wednesday, November 4, 1987 at 7:30 PM at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: Estimated Cost: $231.60 Residential Street Lighting 169 (Two Overhead Lights) Improvement Area: Along Culver Road, between Regent and Quail Avenues, more specifically described as: Lot 1, Block 5; Lots 6, 7, 8 and the Southeasterly 3 feet of Lot 9, Block 6; The South 55 feet of Lot 8; Lots 9, 10, 11, 12 and that part of Lot 13 lying Southerly of a line running from a point in the Westerly line of said lot, distance 45.1 feet Northwesterly from the Southwest corner thereof, to a point in the easterly line of said lot distance 45 feet Northwesterly from the Southeast corner thereof, Block 10; Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 11; All in Woodlawn Park Addition. Also, That part of Lot 12 lying East of a line running from a point in the north line thereof distance 67.11 feet East from the Northwest corner thereof, to a point in the south line thereof distance 110 feet East from the Southwest corner thereof, Block 2; Lot 14, Block 2; All in Woodlawn Park 3rd Addition. Also, Tract A and the Easterly 54 feet of Tract B, Registered Land Survey #1057. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights- of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.
