Member Thompson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING ASSIGNMENT OF ORDINANCE
RIGHTS FROM NORTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY
TO JIM LUPIENT OLDSMOBILE CO.
WHEREAS, the City Council has hertofore enacted an ordinance conferring
upon Northwestern Bell Telephone Company certain nonexclusive rights to locate,
construct, operate, repair and maintain private telecommunications facilities in
certain public grounds of the City of Golden Valley; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid ordinance, being Ordinance No. 705 duly adopted by
this City Council on November 17, 1987, becomes effective according to Section
2.2 of its terms following its publication and its acceptance by Northwestern
Bell Telephone Company; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid ordinance further provides in Section 5 thereof that
Northwestern Bell Telephone Company shall have the authority to assign all
rights conferred upon it by the aforesaid ordinance subject to the approval of
the City of Golden Valley;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Golden
Valley that it hereby authorizes and approves the assignment from Northwestern
Bell Telephone Company to Jim Lupient Oldsmobile Co. of all of the nonexclusive
rights conferred upon Northwestern Bell Telephone Company by the aforesaid
Ordinance No. 705 effective from and after the date that said Northwestern Bell
Telephone Company has filed its written acceptance of said ordinance with the
City Clerk for the City of Golden Valley as set forth above.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, Stockman and Thompson; and the following
voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy
City Clerk.
