088-011 - 01-19 Establishing Recycling Program Resolution 8�-11 January 19, 1988 P4emher Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RECYCLING PROGRAP4 WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley recognizes the requirements of the Hennepin County Solid Waste Abatement Ordinance P�o. 13; and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley is committed to�vard fulfilling those recycli ng requi rements; and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley recognizes the necessity to have a comprehensive program that includes a residential curb-side pick up service and a cooperative effort of commercial and industrial businesses within the City; a nd WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley is desirous of making its intentions and program recognized and accepted by Hennepin County to obtain the applicable County partici�ation; and NOW, TNEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Golden Valley hereby affirms its commitment by adopting the following program and policy and directs the appropriate staff to implement the following for 1988. RESIDENTIAL: Single family curb-side recycling pickup within the City. C0�IMERCIAL: Convene meetings with commercial and industrial business owners and provide aggressive information programs for comme rcial recycling. Work with commercial and industrial staff representatives in establishing, coordinating and reporting applicable tonnages to the City of Golden Valley for 1988.
