088-027 - 04-19 Supporting the Location of Light Rail Resolution 88-27 April 19, 1988 �lember Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE LOCATION OF LIGHT RAIL IN THE NORTHWEST CORRIDOR WHEREAS, Hennepin County has instituted a study of light rail transit in the northwest corridor; and WHEREAS, Golden Valley Planning Commissioner Keven t�cAleese has served on the Northwest Corridor Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, the Northwest Corridor Advisory Committee has recommended an alignment along Olson Memorial Highway and the Burlington Northern right-of-way to a terminus at the intersection of Brooklyn Boulevard and Highway 169; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Golden Valley proclaims that it supports the location of light rail in the northwest corridor along the alignment recommended by the committee. ��'- � ary E. derson, Mayor ATTEST: dy Na ly, Deputy City Clerk e motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson and Stockman; and the following abstained: Thompson; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk.
