088-060 - 06-14 Approinting Reps to Jt Community Energy Council Resolution 8�-60 June 14, 1988 �<lember Bakken introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIOPd APPOINTING REPRESENTATIVES TO A JOINT COPIP1UNITY ENERGY COU�dCIL AND AUTHORIZING JOINT AND EXECUTIUN OF AGREEP�ENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS FOR THE DEPART�4ENT �F ENERGY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPP�ENT WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the joint application of funds fror� the Department of Energy and Econor;�ic Development for Golden Valley 's participation in the Governor's Community Energy Program; and WHEREAS, the City Council has agreed to apply for these funds jointly with the cities of Brooklyn Center and Crystal ; and WHEREAS, grooklyn Center has been designated as the lead city for the Community Energy Program; and WHEREAS, the Golden Valley representative to the Community Energy Council i s to be a memher of and appoi nted by the Numan Rights Commi ssion; �E IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of Golden Valley, Plinnesota as f0� �0YJS: 1) That Richard Huntley of the Human Rights Commi ssion be offici al ly designated as the Golden Valley representative to the Joi�t Community Energy Council ; and 2) That West Hennepin Hur�an Services and the City of Brooklyn Center are hereby authorized to apply to the P1innesota Department of Energy and Economi c Devel opment for the fundi ng of this energy conservation project on behalf of the City of Golden Valley and are authorized to execute such agreer�ents as are necessary to implement the project. � ,��✓ ���� �� Mary E. � nderson, f�ayor ATTEST: ud Nal , Deputy C' y Clerk motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by P�ember Thompson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, Stockman and Thompson; and the follovaing voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declarec� duly passed and adopted, signed by the f1ayor and her signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk.
