088-080 - 09-19 Reconveying Tax Forfeit Lands Back to State Resolution 8�-80 September 19, 1988
Plember Thompson introduced the follo�aing resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION RECONVEYING CERTAIN TAX FORFEIT LANDS BACK
TO THE STATE AND REQUESTING THE COUNTY BOARD TO IMPOSE
CONDITIONS ON THE SALE OF SAID TAX FORFEIT LANDS AND
TO RESTRICT THE SALE TO OWNERS OF ADJOINING LANDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to P1innesota Statutes, Section 282.01, Subdivision 1, the
State of Pt�innesota, as trustee under Minnesota Statutes, Section 281.25 on the
lst day of March, 1986, conveyed to the City of Golden Valley, a governmental
subdivision, certain lands, of which the lands hereinafter desc ribed are a
portion, to be used for an authorized public use; and
VJHEREAS, said governmental subdivision has failed to put the lands hereinafter
described to the public use for which it was conveyed and the governing body
thereof has authorized the proper officers to convey the same to the State of
Minnesota, as such trustee; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to restrict and condition the sale of the lands
hereinafter described to bring them into conformance with City ordinances and
land use goals; and
NOW, THEREFORE, this indenture, made this 19th day of September, 1988,
between the City of Golden Valley, a governmental subdivision of the State of
Mi nnesota, as party of the fi rst part, and the State of Mi nnesota, as trustee as
hereinafter set forth, as party of the second part;
1. The County Board is hereby requested to impose conditions on the sale of
the following described lands, and is further requested to sell such
land only to owners of lands adjoining at a non-public sale so that said
lands will be conbined for tax and land use purposes and will comply with
City ordinances and regulations:

2. The r�ayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and di rected to release
t he aforementioned lands for sale, subject to the County imposing tl�e
aforestated conditions and the lien of special assessments on said lands.

he motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by P�lember
Stockman and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, Stockman and Thompson, and the following
voted against the same: none, whereuaon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Hlayor and her signature attested by the Deputy
City Clerk.
