RESULUTIOC� REQUESTING S00 LINE RAILROAD TO ASSIST
IPJ RESOLVIPdG PROBLEM AT LAUREL AVENUE CROSSING
WHEREAS, the City has received many complaints concerning the rough nature
of the railroad crossing at the Laurel Avenue crossing of the Soo Line Railroad
tracks; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the railroad tracks at the Laurel Avenue-Soo Line
Railroad crossing are much higher than the roadway resulting in a ve ry rough
crossing;
WHEREAS, on numerous occasions the City staff has contacted Soo Line
Rail road personnel requesting repair of the rough rail road crossing but have had
no success; and
NOVJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Golden
Valley that it hereby requests the Soo Line �ailroad to work with the City to
resolve the rough nature of the Laurel Avenue railroad crossing of the Soo Line
Railroad tracks at the crossing located in Section 4, Townshi� 117, Range 21,
Hennepi n County, P1i nnesota; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City staff is directed to communicate this
Resolution to the appropriate Soo Line Railroad personnel and obtain their
cooperation and assistance �aith this matter.
