088-103 - 11-15 Public Hearing on Public Improvements RSL 174 Resolution 88-103 November 15, 1988 Member Bakken introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS RSL 174 BE IT RESOLUED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the City as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the City has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $231.60. 3. The Council shall rieet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said r�eeting to be published for two successive weeks in the NEW HOPE-GOLDEN VALLEY POST, the official newspaper of the City, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated December 8, 1988 and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated Decer�ber 15, 1988. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form. Resolution 88-103 - Continued November 15, 1988 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVE�1EfJTS RSL 174 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, December 20, 1988 at 7:30 P�1 at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: Estimated Cost: $231.60 Residential Street Lighting 174 (Two Overhead Lights) Improvement Area: Intersections of Duluth Lane and Brunswick and Duluth Lane and Adair, more specifically described as follows: Lots 1 thru 4 inclusive, Block 1 , Lots 1 thru 4 i nclusive, B1 ock 2, Lots 1 thru 5 inclusive, Block 3 All in First Addition of Brunswick Court; and Commencing at the most Westerly corner of Block 10; thence Southeasterly along the Southwesterly li ne thereof 466 8/10 feet; thence Northeasterly deflecting left 89 degrees 20 minutes 30 seconds a distance of 115 2/10 t o the actual point of beginning; thence Southeasterly along a line which intersects the East line thereof at a point 303 5/10 feet North from the most Southerly corner thereof; thence North along the East line thereof to a point 66 82/100 feet South from the Northeast corner thereof; thence Southwesterly to beginning in Yarnall 's Golden Valley Outlots. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or 1 i nes described above and i ncludi ng al l rail road property and rail road rights- of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the street or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
