89-019 - 03-07 Participate Reconstruction of Winnetka AvenueResolution 89-19 March 7, 1989 Member Thompson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION REQUESTING PARTICIPATION FROM COUNTY FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF WINNETKA AVENUE WHEREAS, the HRA of the City of Golden Valley has designated the area between Boone Avenue and Rhode Island and T.H. 55 and the Chicago -Northwestern Railroad as a Redevelopment Area; and WHEREAS, redevelopment of property either side of Winnetka Avenue will require the reconstruction of Winnetka Avenue; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that the Hennepin County Board include in its five year Capital Improvement Program the reconstruction of Winnetka Avenue including Harold Avenue to 10th Avenue North including necessary improvements to the signalized intersection at Golden Valley Road and also authorize the Hennepin County staff to work with Golden Valley City staff to prepare necessary preliminary plans and cost estimates.
