89-026 - 03-21 Transmit Recommendation to I-394 Joint Task kForceResolution 89-26 March 21, 1989 Member Thompson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION TRANSMITTING CERTAIN RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE I-394 JOINT TASK FORCE WHEREAS, the Joint Task Force of the cities of St. Louis Park an Golden Valley have presented the respective Councils with a draft I-394 Overlay Zoning Ordinance and Joint Powers Agreement; and WHEREAS, those documents establish a permanent joint body between the cities to monitor and recommend enforcement of the overlay ordinance; and WHEREAS, a number of issues have been identified which are appropriately the subject of the new Task Force. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley urges the permanent Joint Task Force to consider the following issues: 1. The inclusion of the intersection of Betty Crocker Drive and U.S. 169 in a traffic study area; 2. The establishment of a permanent method of input for commercial and residential interests along the corridor as requested by the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce; 3. A direction to the Task Force to analyze any changes to the assumptions in the base data supporting our ordinance which could be caused by new traffic management initiatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation scheduled to be issued in 1989. An rson, Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Bakken and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, Stockman and Thompson; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the Deputy City Clerk.
