91-012 - 02-05 Provide Public Improvements RSL 193 TH 55 North Frontage Road, East of Ottawa Ave NResolution 91-12 February 5, 1991 0 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS RSL 193 T.H. 55 NORTH FRONTAGE ROAD, EAST OF OTTAWA AVENUE NORTH BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the City as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the City has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $231.60. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the . NEW HOPE -GOLDEN VALLEY POSTNEWS, the official newspaper of the City, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated February 20, 1991 and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated February 27, 1991. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form. • ATTEST: Shirley J.; 'Nelson, City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Thompson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bakken, Johnson, Stockmand and Thompson; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk. Resolution 91-12 - Continued February 5, 1991 • NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS RSL 193 T.H. 55 NORTH FRONTAGE ROAD, EAST OF OTTAWA AVENUE NORTH NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, March 5, 1991 at 7:30 PM at Golden Valley City Hall, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: Estimated Cost: $231.60 Residential Street Light 193 Improvement Area: The north frontage road of T. H. 55 east of Ottawa Avenue, more specifically described as follows: That part of Section 19, Hennepin County described as follows: Commencing at a point 33 feet North of the center of Section 19;, thence North 270 feet; thence West 100 feet; thence South 270 feet, thence East 100 feet to the point of beginning, except Stte Highway right-of-way. That part of the South 700 feet of Tract A, Registered Land Survey Number 541, lying West of the East 235 feet thereof. That part of Tract B and the easterly 235 feet of the South 700 feet of Tract A, all in Registered Land Survey Number 541. That part of the Southwest Y4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 19 lying East of the West 430 feet thereof, West of the East 455 feet thereof, and South of Minnesota Western Railroad right-of-way and North of MN and S Railroad Right-of-way. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights- of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. • Resolution 91-12 - Continued February 5, 1991 All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the street or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
