91-043 - 04-16 Provide Public Improvements 91 SI 4Resolution 91-43 April 16, 1991 Member Russell introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 91 SI 4 BASSETT CREEK DRIVE (LEGEND DRIVE TO GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD) LEGEND DRIVE (GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD TO BASSETT CREEK DRIVE) AND LEGEND LANE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the City as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the City has reported to the Council advising it in preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improve- ments as follows: $394,993.78. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the New Hope/Golden Valley PostNews, the official newspaper of the City, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April 24, 1991 and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated May 1, 1991. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form. ATTEST: Shirley J.'Nelson, City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Stockman, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bakken, Johnson, Russell, Stockman and Thompson, and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk. • Resolution 91-43 - Continued April 16, 1991 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 91 SI 4 BASSETT CREEK DRIVE (LEGEND DRIVE TO GOLDEN VALLEY RD.) LEGEND DRIVE (BASSETT CREEK DR. TO GOLDEN VALLEY RD.) AND LEGEND LANE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, May 7, 1991, at 7:30 P.M. at the Golden Valley Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improve- ments. The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: Estimated Cost: $394,993.78 91 Street Improvement 4 Improvement Area: The following properties located in the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota: Lots 1 and 2, Block 3, Sleepy Hollow Addition; Lots 1,2,3, and 4, Block 1, Sleepy Hollow Addition; Lots 1,2, and 3, Block 2, Sleepy Hollow Addition; Lots A,B, and C, Registered Land Survey No. 879; Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7, Block 1, Cumberland Hills 2nd Addition; Lot 7, Block 1, Cumberland Hills, 3rd Addition; Lot 7, Block 2, Cumberland Hills, 3rd Addition; Lots 1,2,3, and 4, Block 2, Mary Hills; Lots 1,2,3,4, and 5, Block 4, Mary Hills; Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9, Block 3, Mary Hills. The following property located in the North 1/2 Sec. 18, Township 29, Range 24. The North 170 feet of the following described property: Commencing 44 feet East of a point 6.82 chains North of the southwest corner of the southeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4, thence North 6 1/4 chains; thence East 88 feet; thence South 6 1/4 chains, thence West to the point of beginning, except roadway. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed impro- vement, the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights- of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.
