92-024 - 03-17 Provide Public Improvements 92 SI 1 Westwood Drive, Westwood Lane, Strawberry LaneResolution 92-24 March 17, 1992 Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 92 SI 1 WESTWOOD DRIVE (RAVINE TRAIL TO GLENWOOD AVENUE) WESTWOOD LANE STRAWBERRY LANE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the City as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the City has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improve- ments, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the NEW HOPE -GOLDEN VALLEY SUNPOST, the official newspaper of the City, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April 1, 1992 and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated April 8, 1992. Such notice shall be substantially the same as in the attached form. ATTEST: S-hirley J.(3Nlson, City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Russell and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bakken, Johnson, Russell and Stockman; the following was absent: Thompson; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolu- tion was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk. Resolution 92-24 - Continued March 17, 1992 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 92 SI 1 STREET RECONSTRUCTION WESTWOOD DRIVE (RAVINE TRAIL TO GLENWOOD AVENUE) WESTWOOD LANE STRAWBERRY LANE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, April 14, 1992, at 7:00 P.M. at the Golden Valley City Hall, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said City for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improve- ments. The City Engineer's estimated cost, the type of improvement, area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: Estimated Cost: $351,050.00 92 Street Improvement 1 Improvement Area: The following properties located in the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota: Lots 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25, and 26, Block 6, Glenurban Second Addition; Lots 1,2,3,4,5, and 6, Block 2, Fredsall's Addition; Lots 7,8,9,10,11, and 12, Block 12, Kennedy's West Tyrol Hills Addition; Lots 9,10,11, and 12, Block 13, Kennedy's West Tyrol Hills; and the East 134.67 feet of Lot 6, "Sunrise Lane" and also the South 6 feet of the East 134.67 feet of Lot 5, "Sunrise Lane"; and that part of the East 134.67 feet of Lot 5, "Sunrise Lane" lying North of the South 6 feet thereof; And the following unplatted property located as follows: The North 404.3 feet of the East 144 feet of the West 1/2 of the northwest 1/4 of northeast 1/4 of Section 30, Township 29, Range 24, except roadway; and The South 317 feet of the North 984.9 feet of East 408.5 feet of the West 1/2 of the northwest 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section 30, Township 29, Range 24, except roadway. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed impro- vement, the City Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. All property within the City which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights- of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.
