Member Thompson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF $103,000
OF GOLDEN VALLEY'S MUNICIPAL STATE AID CONSTRUCTION
MONIES TO OFFSET CERTAIN EXPENSES IN CONJUNCTION
WITH CONCRETE WALK CONSTRUCTION ON C.S.A.H. 66
(DULUTH STREET AND GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD,
FROM T.H. 100 TO THEODORE WIRTH PARKWAY)
WHEREAS, it has been deemed advisable and necessary for the City of Golden
Valley to construct a concrete walk along the South side of C.S.A.H. 66 at the
above location.
WHEREAS, County policy requires that the City fund the costs associated
with the project; and
WHEREAS, the cost of such improvement is estimated to be approximately
$103,000; and
WHEREAS, the approval of the City Council is needed to expand Municipal
State Aid funds on an off -system improvement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Golden Valley does hereby
appropriate from its Municipal State Aid Construction Account the sum of
$103,000 to apply toward the said improvement and request the Commissioner of
Transportation to approve this authorization and hereby approves entering into a
Construction Cooperative Agreement with Hennepin County for the purpose of
constructing said improvement.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Stockman and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Bakken, Johnson, Russell, Stockman and Thompson; and the following
voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City
Clerk.
