93-073 - 09-21 Street Vacation Portion Market StreetResolution 93-73 September 21, 1993 Member Thompson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION FOR STREET VACATION PORTION OF MARKET STREET WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in a notice duly published with respect to the subject matter hereof and has heard all interested persons, and it appearing in the best interest of the general public that portion of a street be vacated; and WHEREAS, in the best interest of the public, a perpetual drainage and utility easement remain in place of the street easement at said location; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that a portion of street known as Market Street, described below, which lies within the corporate limits of the City, is hereby vacated: The vacation of a permanent street easement described as follows: That part of Tract P and Tract M of Registered Land Survey No. 648, Hennepin County, Minnesota, which is included in the North half of a circle 120 feet in diameter, the center of the circle being a point in the East line of said Tract P, a distance of 60 feet northerly from the southeast corner thereof. AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a perpetual drainage and utility ease- ment be reserved over the entire length of said street vacation. ATTEST: Shirley 4 Nelson, City Clerk The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Johnson; and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bakken, Johnson, Russell, Stockman and Thompson; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
