Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION FOR ACCEPTANCE OF PLAT - VALLEY SQUARE 5TH ADDITION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, pursuant to due
notice, has heretofore conducted a public hearing on the proposed plat to be
known as Valley Square 5th Addition, covering the following described tract of
land:
Tract B except that part lying westerly of the following described line, to wit:
Beginning at a point in the Southwesterly line of said Tract B, distant 141.11
feet Southeasterly, measured along said Southwesterly line, from the South-
westerly corner of said Tract B; thence north parallel with the West line of
said Tract B, 68 feet; thence Northwesterly deflecting to the left at an angle
of 74 degrees a distance of 30 feet; thence north parallel with the West line of
Tract B to the North line thereof and there terminating, all in REGISTERED LAND
SURVEY NO. 614, Files of Registrar of Titles, County of Hennepin.
And
All that part of Lot 57, "AUDITOR'S SUBDIVISION NUMBER 322, HENNEPIN COUNTY
MINNESOTA", described as follows: Commencing at a point in Northerly line of
said Lot, where the same is intersected by the extension Northerly of the East
line of Lot 56 of said AUDITOR'S SUBDIVISION; thence Easterly along said
Northerly line 100 feet; thence South parallel with the East line of said Lot 56
and the extension thereof 425.4 feet; thence at right angles East 100 feet to
the actual point of beginning of this description; thence East along the
continuation of said last described 100 foot line to the East line of Lot 57;

line of Lot 1, Block 2, "COTTAGE GROVE", distant 20 feet westerly from the
northeast corner of said Lot 1; thence northerly deflecting to the right 84
degrees 11 minutes 53 seconds to the south line of Lot 45, in said auditor's
subdivision; thence westerly along the south line of Lots 45 and 44, in said
auditor's subdivision, a distance of 383.36 feet to the point of beginning of
the line to be described; thence southwesterly in a straight line to a point on
the southerly right-of-way line of said vacated Country Club Drive distant
577.95 feet westerly, as measured along said right-of-way line from said
northeast corner of Lot 1 and said line there terminating.
WHEREAS, all persons present were given the opportunity to be heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley, that said proposed plat be, and the same hereby is, accepted and
approved, and the proper officers of the City are hereby authorized to sign the
original said plat and to do all other things necessary and proper in the premi-
ses.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Thompson; and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Bakken, Johnson, Russell, Stockman and Thompson; and the following
voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed
and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
