Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, as
amended:
RESOLUTION FOR STREET VACATION
PORTION OF TURNERS CROSSROAD
WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in a
notice duly published with respect to the subject matter hereof and has heard
all interested persons, and it appearing in the interest of the public that a
portion of a street be vacated; and
WHEREAS, in the best interest of the public, a perpetual drainage and utility
easement 66 feet in width remain in place of the street at said location;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley that, effective March 15, 1994, a portion of street known as Turners
Crossroad, described below, which lies within the corporate limits of the City,
is hereby vacated:
That portion of Turners Crossroad platted as Lots A, C, and
the west 33 feet of Lot D, Land Survey No. 106, Hennepin
County, MN; and the south 238 feet of Turners Crossroad as
platted on the Colonnade P.U.D. No. 53, Hennepin County, MN;
all portions of said Turners Crossroads lying north of the
northerly line of Interstate Highway No. 394.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a perpetual drainage and utility easement
66 feet in width be reserved over the entire length of said street vacation.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Russell and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Bakken, Russell and Thompson, and the following voted against the same:
Johnson and Thompson; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
