94-68 - 09-12 DEFEATED Authorize Removal Stop Signs Intersections on Olympia StreetDEFEATED Resolution 94-68 September 12, 1994 Member Thompson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REMOVAL OF STOP SIGNS AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS ON OLYMPIA STREET WHEREAS, the City Council has the power and authority, pursuant to State Statutes Chapter 169.04, to establish stop sign locations, and it appears that stop signs should be removed at certain locations along Olympia Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Golden Valley that stop signs on Olympia Street shall be removed at the inter- section of Sumter Avenue North and Quebec Avenue North based on the fact that signs stopping traffic on Olympia are no longer warranted and have been deter- mined to hinder the flow of traffic beyond what is considered safe.
