Member Russell introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION BY PURCHASE OR CONDEMNATION
OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR
HIGHWAY 55 FRONTAGE ROAD
WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley is in the process of constructing
frontage roads on the north and south side of Highway 55 east of its intersec-
tion with Highway 100 in the City of Golden Valley; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable and in the public interest for
the City to acquire the real property set out in Exhibits A and B attached
hereto for street right-of-way for the frontage road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of
Golden Valley:
1. That it is necessary and desirable and in the public interest to
acquire the real property described on Exhibits A and B attached hereto for
street right-of-way purposes for the Highway 55 Frontage Roads and the City
staff and City attorney, or such other persons as necessary, are hereby
authorized and directed to take all necessary steps and to execute all necessary
documents to acquire such real property.
2. That in the event that the real property described on Exhibits A and
B cannot be expeditiously acquired by negotiated purchase, the City staff and
City attorney for the City of Golden Valley are authorized and directed to com-
mence quick take condemnation proceedings to acquire such property.
3. That the acquisition of such real property constitutes a proper and
necessary public purpose.
4. That the appraisal values set out on Exhibits A and B are approved
as the City's Approved Appraisal Values.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member
Johnson; and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Johnson, Micks, Russell, Thompson and Tremere; and the following
voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed
and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.

right-of-way over, under and across that part of
19, Township 29, Range 24, Hennepin County,
Beginning at a point on the North line of said southwest quarter a
distance of 1339.0 feet East of the northwest corner thereof; thence
South at right angles a distance of 291 feet; thence southeasterly
deflecting to the left 7 degrees 50 minutes a distance of 422.44 feet
to the South line of the North 43 rods of said southwest quarter;
thence East along said South line a distance of 300 feet; thence north-
westerly deflecting to the left 97 degrees 50 minutes a distance of
422.43 feet to a point 291 feet South of the North line of the
southwest quarter measured at right angles; thence northerly 291 feet
to a point on said North line, 300.0 feet East of the point of begin-
ning; thence westerly along said North line 300 feet to point of

bearing along the northerly line of said Lot 6 a distance of 57.29
feet; thence North 3 degrees 28 minutes 22 seconds East, a distance of
25.95 feet to the point of beginning of the line to be described;
thence South 86 degrees 31 minutes 38 seconds East a distance of
891.99 feet; thence southeasterly a distance of 99.49 feet along a
tangential curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 452.46
feet and a central angle of 12 degrees 35 minutes 57 seconds; thence
southeasterly a distance of 214.01 feet along a tangential curve con-
cave to the North, having a radius of 438.50 feet and a central angle
of 27 degrees 57 minutes 44 seconds; thence northeasterly a distance of
83.29 feet along a tangential curve concave to the southeast having a
radius of 388.50 feet and a central angle of 12 degrees 17 minutes 01

Said perpetual easement being all that part of the above described parcel which
lies within the following described area:
Beginning at the southeast corner of said Lot 2, Block 1, Valley
Village 2nd Addition; thence North 89 degrees 47 minutes 17 seconds
West, 165.72 feet along the southerly line of said Lot 2, basis for
bearings, to the West line of the southeast quarter of the northwest
quarter of Section 19, Township 29, Range 24; thence North 00 degrees
15 minutes 29 seconds West 20.71 feet along said West line; thence
northeasterly 136.78 feet along the arc of a non-tangential curve con-
cave to the northwest having a central angle of 27 degrees 39 minutes
41 seconds and a radius of 283.31 feet, the long chord of which bears
North 74 degrees 01 minutes 51 seconds East, 135.45 feet; thence North
60 degrees 12 minutes 00 seconds East, 40.60 feet to the easterly line
