Member introduced the fotlowing resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION ORDERING CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
AND AUTHORIZING BIDS

TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSECTION OF BOONE AVENUE NORTH AND
GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That this Council, after being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does hereby
determineto proceed with the construction of certain proposed public improvements for the said City.
2. It is hereby found and detennined that said public improvements are feasible and can
best be constructed, and not in connection with some other improvements. (The Council reserves
the right to consolidate said improvements with other public improvements if it seems advisable to do
so.)
3. The cost of said improvements shall be paid entirely out of Municipal State Aid Funds.
4. The City Engineer is hereby designated as engineer for the proposed public
improvements, and is hereby authorized, ordered and instructed to prepare final plans and
specifications for said improvements and obtain proposals for the same.
5. That the City Clerk shall prepare an Advertisement for Bids for making such
improvements. The advertisement shall be published as required by statute, shall specify work to be
done and shall state the time and place that the bids shall be opened and considered by the City
Engineer and City Clerk, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member and upon a
vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the
following voted against the same:
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his
signature attested by City Clerk.
