95-052 - 06-06 - Ordering Public Improvements & Bids 95 SI 1 Resolution 95 52 June 6, 1995 Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ORDERING CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORIZING BIDS 95 SI 1 MARKET STREET (LOUISIANA AVENUE EAST) BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That based upon an Agreement with Jim Lupient Oldsmobile Company, authorized by City Council action on March 14, 1995, this Council does hereby determine to proceed with the construction of certain proposed public improvements for the said City, in accordance with said Agreement and furthermore to authorize the replacement of the sanitary sewer and watermain in Market Street East of Louisiana Avenue. Funding for said sanitary and water improvements shall be from the Sewer and Water Utility Reserve Fund. 2. It is hereby found and determined that said public improvements are feasible and can best be constru�ted as set forth by staff and not in connection with some other improvements. (The Council reserves the right to consolidate said improvements with other public improvements if it seems advisable to do so.) 3. The City Engineer is hereby designated as engineer for the proposed public improvements, and is hereby authorized, ordered and instructed to prepare final plans and specifications for said improvements and obtain proposals for the same. 4. That the City Clerk shall prepare an Advertisement for Bids for making such improvements. The advertisement shall be published as required by statute, shall specify work to be done and shall state the time and place that the bids shall be opened and considered by the City Engineer and City Clerk, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk.
