95-063 - 07-18 - Authorizing Inspections at MN Center for Arts Education Resolution 95-63 July 18, 1995 Member Russell introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXERCISE OF OPTION FOR STATE OF MINNESOTA TO CONTRACT FOR BUILDING CODE ADMINISTRATION AND INSPECTIONS WITH THE CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY FOR REROOFING AT THE MINNESOTA CENTER FOR ARTS EDUCATION WHEREAS, on June 20, 1995 the City Council authorized a "Contractual Agreement Between the City of Golden Valley and the State of Minnesota, Department of Administration Building Codes and Standards Division (the "Contractual Agreement"); and, WHEREAS, said agreement calls for the City to approve by resolution the exercise of a municipal option to provide services as called out on a specific project form provided by the State of Minnesota, said form to be incorporated by reference and made a part of the "Contractual Agreement"; and, WHEREAS, Project #950356 calls for services related to the reroofing of Gaia Hall at the Minnesota Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley; and, WHEREAS, the Golden Valley Building Official recommends that the City attend to all aspects of State Building Code administration for said project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Golden Valley that appropriate City officials are authorized to execute the project form #950356 for the Gaia Hall Reroof/MN Ctr for Arts Ed., a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and will become a part of the "Contractual Agreement" on file at City offices. Nelson, City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Thompson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Johnson, Micks, Russell, Thompson, and Tremere; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
