95-066 - 09-05 - Street Vacation of Sandburg Lane Resolution 95-66 September 5, 1995 Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION FOR STREET VACATION PORTION OF SANDBURG LANE WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in a notice duly published with respect to the subject matter hereof and has heard all interested persons, and it appearing in the interest of the public that a portion of street be vacated; and WHEREAS, in the best interest of the public, a perpetual drainage and utility easement 66 feet in width remain in place of the street at said location; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that a portion of street known as Sandburg Lane, described below, which lies within the corporate limits of the City, is hereby vacated: That portion of Sandburg Lane described as follows: The South 690 feet of the West 66 feet of the East 462 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21, Hennepin County, Minnesota. AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a perpetual drainage and utility easement 66 feet in width be reserved over the entire length of said street vacation. Blair Tremere, Mayor ATTEST: Shirley J. Nelson, City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Micks and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Johnson, Micks, Russell, Thompson and Tremere; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
