95-079 - 11-14 - Entering Agreement #74161 with MnDot for Traffic Control Signal Resolution 95-79 November 14, 1995 Member Micks introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO AGREEMENT #74161 WITH MnDOT TO CONSTRUCT CERTAIN TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS ALONG T.H. 55 BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following purposes, to wit: To revise the existing traffic control signals with street lights, emergency vehicle pre- emption and signing on Trunk Highway No. 55. at Vicksburg Lane, Niagara Lane - Plymouth Boulevard, Boone Avenue - General Mills Boulevard, Rhode Island Avenue and at Meadow Lane, remove the existing traffic control signals and install new traffic control signals with street lights, emergency vehicle pre-emption and signing on Trunk Highway No. 55 at Fernbrook Lane, County State Aid Highway No. 6 - Private Driveway, West Medicine Lake Road - Frontage Road, County State Aid Highway No. 73 - South Shore Drive and at County State Aid Highway No. 40 (Glenwood Avenue) - Glenwood Avenue; and install interconnect on Trunk Highway No. 55 from County State Aid Highway No. 24 - Dunkirk Lane to Revere Lane, and from Boone Avenue - General Mills Boulevard to Theodore Wirth Parkway in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth and contained in Agreement No. 74161, a copy of which was before the Council. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized to execute such agreement, and thereby assume for and on behalf of the City all of the contractual obligations contained therein. Nelson, City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Tremere and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Johnson, Micks, Thompson and Tremere; and the following was absent: Russell; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by City Clerk.
