97-028 - 02-18 Approving use of Funds for 1997 Hennepin County CDBG Program Resolution 97-28 February 18, 1997
Member LeSuer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PROJECTED USE OF FUNDS FOR 1997 URBAN
HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM AND
AUTHORIZING SIGNATURE OF SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT WITH
HENNEPIN COUNTY AND ANY THIRD PARTY AGREEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley, through execution of a Joint Cooperation
Agreement with Hennepin County, is cooperating in the Urban Hennepin County
Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley developed a proposal for the use of Urban
Hennepin County CDBG funds made available to it, and held a public hearing on February
18, 1997 to obtain the views of citizens on local and Urban Hennepin County housing and
community development needs and priorities the City's proposed use of $107,212 from the
1997 Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council for the City of Golden Valley approves the
following projects for funding from the Urban Hennepin County Community Development
Block Grant Program and authorizes submittal of the proposal to Hennepin County for
review and inclusion in the 1997 Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block
Grant Program.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes and directs
the Mayor and its City Manager to execute the Subrecipient Agreement and any required
Third Party Agreements on behalf of the City to implement the 1997 CDBG Program.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Micks
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson,
Johnson, LeSuer, Micks and Russell; and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
