98-059 - 06-23 Set Hearing to Abate Nuisance at 7008 Winsdale StreetResolution 98-59 June 23, 1998 Member LeSuer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING TO ABATE NUISANCE AT 7008 WINSDALE STREET WHEREAS, on June 12, 1998, the City of Golden Valley received a complaint about property located at 7008 Winsdale Street (the "Property"); and WHEREAS, on June 12, 1998, the City's Inspection Service and City Sanitarian conducted inspections of the Property; and WHEREAS, the City's investigation found: 1. that there is an accumulation on the Property of material which has or could facilitate the nesting and breeding of rodents, insects, harmful bacteria, the growth or spread of noxious weeds, and be the threat of fire; and 2. that unless the accumulation on the Property is properly stored or disposed of, it is a source of filth, cause of sickness, and an immediate danger to the health, safety and welfare of persons and property in the City; and WHEREAS, as a result of the accumulation on the Property, there is a hazardous condition on the Property, and the Property is and continues to be a nuisance in violation of Section 10.01 of the Golden Valley City Code. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council that the City of Golden Valley is hereby directed to prepare a Notice of Hearing on Order to Abate Nuisance in accordance with Section 10.01, subd. 3 to be held on the 21" day of July, 1998 at 6:30 p.m. before the City Council, 7800 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minnesota 55427 and to serve such Notice on all owners, tenants, mortgagees and other lien holders.
