Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE
LAND USE PLAN MAP RESPECTING PROPERTY LOCATED AT
631 OTTAWA AVENUE NORTH (SCHAPER PARK) AND
4900 OLSON MEMORIAL HIGHWAY (FORMER WHITE HOUSE RESTAURANT SITE)
WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in a notice duly
published with respect to the subject matter hereof and has heard all interested persons,
and it appearing in the interest of the public that the Comprehensive Land Use Plan Map
as heretofore adopted and enacted by the City of Golden Valley be amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Golden
Valley, that pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 11.90, Subd. 7 of the City Code for the
City of Golden Valley, and subject to review and approval by the Metropolitan Council for
conformity with regional systems plan as provided in state law, the Comprehensive Land
Use Plan Map for the City of Golden Valley is hereby amended by the following changes:
• Commercial to Municipal—Parks, Natural Areas for that portion of the following tract
lying north of Schaper Road:
That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, Section 19, Township 29,
Range 24 described as beginning at a point on the South line of said Southeast
Quarter of the Northwest Quarter distant 487.29 feet West from the Southeast corner of
said Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter; thence West along said South line a
distance of 387 feet; thence North parallel with the East line of said Southeast Quarter
of the Northwest Quarter, a distance of 650 feet; thence East parallel with said South
line a distance of 120 feet, thence South, parallel with said East line a distance of 457
feet; thence East parallel with said South line a distance of 267 feet; thence South
parallel with said East line a distance of 193 feet to the point of beginning, according to
the Government Survey thereof;
And
• Industrial to Municipal—Parks, Natural Areas, for the portion of the tract lying west of
Schaper Road; and Industrial to Commercial for the portion of the tract lying east of
Schaper Road; with the entire tract legally described as follows:
That part of Outlot A, SCHAPER NATURAL AREA, lying within the Westerly 565.71
feet of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 19, Township 29,
Range 24.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member LeSuer
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson,
Bakken, Johnson, and LeSuer; and the following was absent: Micks; and the following
voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
