99-071 - 08-17 - Adopt Surface Water Management Plan Element Comprehensive PlanResolution 99-71 August 17, 1999 0 Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN ELEMENT OF THE GOLDEN VALLEY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, adopted a Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the state legislature requires that the comprehensive plans of local governments be in conformance with metropolitan system plans prepared by the Metropolitan Council; and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has undertaken extensive review and analysis of the City's Surface Water Management issues and opportunities; and WHEREAS, the City has prepared an updated Surface Water Management Plan Element of the Comprehensive Plan in accordance with the Metropolitan System Statements; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, following an informal public hearing on the plan has recommended their approval; and • WHEREAS, the City Council held a formal public hearing to consider the Surface Water Management Plan Element of the Comprehensive Plan on August 17, 1999. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that the Surface Water Management Plan Element be hereby adopted as part of the City's Comprehensive Plan.
