99-089 - 10-05 - State Participation Construction Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) Systems at Intersections City Project 00-SI-3Resolution 99-89 October 5, 1999 0 Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 0 REQUESTING STATE PARTICIPATION IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF EMERGENCY VEHICLE PREEMPTION (EVP) SYSTEMS AT CERTAIN QUALIFYING INTERSECTIONS CITY PROJECT NO. 00 -SI -3 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley is proposing to construct EVP systems at the following intersections: 1. Glenwood Avenue (CSAH 40) and the Trunk Highway 100 East Ramps; 2. Glenwood Avenue (CSAH 40) and the Trunk Highway 100 West Ramps; 3. Xenia Avenue and the Trunk Highway 394 North Ramps; and 4. Trunk Highway 55 at Theodore Wirth Parkway. WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) participates in the funding of EVP systems in accordance with their cost sharing policy. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that requests that MnDOT participate in the construction installation in accordance with MnDOT policy. ATTEST: ,&a-, J, 7 -mi °� " Shirley J.
