99-125 - 12-21 - Setting Employee Mileage Reimbursement Rate Employee Car Allowances Consistent with IRS Rules Resolution 99-125 December 21, 1999 Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption RESOLUTION SETTING THE EMPLOYEE MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT RATE AND EMPLOYEE CAR ALLOWANCES CONSISTENT WITH IRS RULES BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that the mileage reimbursement rate for the use of an employee's personal vehicle on City business shall be 32.5¢ per mile effective January 1, 2000 (as per IRS rules for computing the value of personal use of an employer-supplied vehicle under the vehicle-cents-per-mile rule). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following positions' monthly car allowances be increased by 4.84%, consistent with IRS rules, effective January 1, 2000: City Manager, Director of Public Safety, Director of Public Works, Director of Parks and Recreation, Director of Planning and Development, and Police Captain. ary E. derson, Mayor ATTEST: S irley J. son, City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Bakken and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, LeSuer and Micks, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
