00-03 - 02-01 - Amend Comp Plan General Land Use Map 123 Ottawa Ave N Resolution 00-03 February 1, 2000 Member Micks introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION FOR AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN'S GENERAL LAND USE PLAN MAP RESPECTING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 123 OTTAWA AVENUE NORTH WHEREAS, the City Council has met at the time and place specified in a notice duly published with respect to the subject matter hereof and has heard all interested persons, and it appearing in the interest of the public that the General Land Use Plan Map as heretofore adopted and enacted by the City of Golden Valley be amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Golden Valley, that pursuant to the provision of chapter 11.90, Subd. 7 of the City Code for the City of Golden Valley, and subject to review and approval by the Metropolitan Council for conformity with regional systems plan as provided in state law, the General Land Use Plan Map for the City of Golden Valley is hereby amended by changing the Office use to Schools and Religious Facilities use as the official land use designation for the property located at and legally described as follows: That part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 19, Township 29, Range 24, described as follows: Commencing at a point on the West line of said quarter section, which point is located 1089.95 feet South of the Northwest corner of said quarter section and forms the Southwest corner of the North 70 acres of said quarter section, thence East along the South line of said 70 acre tract 1522.26 feet, thence South parallel with the West line of said quarter section 650 feet, thence West at right angles to said parallel line 360 feet which is the point of beginning of the tract to be described, thence northwesterly along a line drawn at right angles to the centerline of the railroad right of way of Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway to the intersection of the Southeasterly right of way line thereof, thence Southwesterly along said Southeasterly right of way line to its intersection with the Easterly line of the right of way of State Trunk Highway No. 100, thence Southeasterly along said Easterly line of the highway as originally laid out 822.11 feet, thence Northeasterly 395 feet more or less to point of beginning, excepting there-from that portion of the premises taken for highway purposes, and subject to roads and highways as now existing over and across said premises.
