Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENTS FOR SEGMENT I OF THE T.H. 100 PROJECT
(GLENWOOD AVENUE TO DULUTH STREET)
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as
follows:
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the City
have been negotiating to bring about the improvement of that portion of T.H. 100 between
Glenwood Avenue and Duluth Street; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT and the City have identified the costs of the project which will
be paid for by the City relative to drainage and frontage road improvements, and water and
sanitary sewer relocations; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 161.20, subdivision 2 authorizes the Commissioner
of Transportation to make arrangements and cooperate with any governmental authority
for the purpose of construction, maintaining and improving the trunk highway system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Golden
Valley that:
1. The Agreement is approved.
2. The Mayor and Manager are authorized and directed to sign the Agreement.
3. City staff is authorized and directed to take such actions as are reasonable
and necessary to implement the Agreement.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Bakken
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson,
Bakken, Johnson, LeSuer and Micks; and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
