Member Micks introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION FOR STREET VACATION OF MAREN LANE,
A PORTION OF GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD AND CERTAIN EASEMENTS
WITHIN THE PLAT OF VALLEY SQUARE 3RD ADDITION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, pursuant to due notice,
has heretofore conducted public hearing on the vacation of that certain street known as
Maren Lane and a portion of Golden Valley Road as now dedicated and laid out within the
City of Golden Valley; and the vacation of all easements dedicated to the City, within the
recorded plat of Valley Square 3rd Addition.
WHEREAS, all persons present were given the opportunity to be heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley that said certain public streets and all easements dedicated to the City, as described
below be, and the same hereby is vacated:
That part of Maren Lane lying between the Golden Valley Road on the west and
Winnetka Avenue North on the east.
That part of Golden Valley Road, lying easterly of the northwesterly extension of the
west line of Lot 1, Block 3, Valley Square 3rd Addition, having a radius of 262.00
feet.
Also all easements bounded by Winnetka Avenue North on the east, by Golden
Valley Road on the south and southwest, by Wisconsin Avenue North on the west
and by Bassett Creek on the north, all located within the plat of Valley Square 3rd
Addition as recorded, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member LeSuer
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson,
Bakken, Johnson, LeSuer, and Micks; and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
