00-54 - 08-15 - Authorize Agreement Golden Valley Country Club 2000 PMP Pennsylvania Ave Trail Resolution 00-54 August 15 2000 Member LeSuer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AGREEMENT WITH THE GOLDEN VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB FOR THE 2000 PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE TRAIL WHEREAS, a public hearing was held in March, 2000 to consider the 2000 Pavement Management Program; and, WHEREAS, the City Council received a petition to construct sidewalks around the perimeter of that part of the Golden Valley Country Club lying north of Golden Valley Road; and, WHEREAS, the City Council directed the Sidewalk Committee to review and consider the petition; and, WHEREAS, the Sidewalk Committee recommended that a trail be built along the east side of Pennsylvania between the Chicago Northwestern Railroad Crossing and Plymouth Road; and, WHEREAS, legal descriptions have been developed for permanent and temporary construction easements needed to complete the project; and WHEREAS, an agreement has been drafted setting forth the understanding relevant to the temporary and permanent easements required for construction of the trail, and for the mitigation for loss of trees and shrubbery. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Golden Valley that: 1. That the above recitals are incorporated by reference. 2. That the Agreement is approved. 3. That the Mayor and Manager are authorized and directed to sign the Agreement. 4. Ison, City Clerk Resolution 00-54 - Continued August 15 2000 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Bakken and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, LeSuer and Micks; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
